Triplets Birthday
'Don't forget it's the triplets birthday tomorrow,' my mother reminded me. They were not triplets, in fact, but they all shared the same birthday, many years apart.
'How old are you going to be tomorrow, Grandpa Albert?' I asked.
'Let me put it this way,” replied Grandpa, who had always been fond of number games. ‘As you know, Brian and Charlie have the same birthday. Five years ago, your cousin Charlie was just a quarter of Uncle Brian’s age, whereas in four years time, Charlie will be a quarter of my age, and in the following year Uncle Brian will be exactly two-thirds of my age. Now you tell me, how old will we each be tomorrow?'
'Granddad,' I replied, 'by the time I've worked that out, I suspect I shall be your age!’
How old will Albert, Brian and Charlie be tomorrow?
