New Courses
Arthur Chapman
We have two new courses for you this month, the first in a series on using Moodle – the virtual learning environment we use for all of our courses – and The Ecology of Your Garden.
Making the Most of Moodle 1 is designed as a gentle introduction to Moodle for anyone who would like to use it for teaching purposes. Noel has written about this elsewhere in this edition of Cloisters so take a look there for more information – click here to find out what Noel has to say.
The
Ecology of your Garden, written and tutored by Maggie Towse, provides
a comprehensive course, both practical and theoretical on ways of gardening
ecologically. If you’ve ever wondered about how
your garden grows, why different plants flourish in different soils,
or are worried about using pesticides and would like to explore alternatives,
then this is just the course for you. As with all of our courses you
are encouraged to take time away from the computer and with this course
where better to go than outside into your garden, especially as, at least
here in the Northern hemisphere Spring is just around the corner. Click
here to find out more and be tempted to sign up!
