CloistersCloisters Summer Special
June and July 2006
It's a special edition of Cloisters this month. We're all looking forward to a summer break and so we've packed in enough to keep you going for two months, until we get back in August.
The New Curiosity Shop Open Week has been a roaring success. The first ever virtual open week attracted visitors from all over the world, who took part in sample courses, chatted to tutors and posted their impressions. We also had our first ever Skypecasts and enjoyed talking live with our visitors. The Open Week Treasure Hunt was won buy Jessica White, and she received the grand prize of a free course of her choice. Noel Chidwick has a round-up of the week in this issue.
Paul's April Puzzle is now over and was won by Nicola Moxey. There is a new puzzle starting this month, entries need to be in by 15th August if you want to win a course voucher.
See you in August - have a good summer!

The Big Conversation
Now is a crucial time for the future of adult learning. Two in three of the jobs of the next decade will need to be filled by adults because there will simply not be enough young people to fill their parents' shoes when finally we retire.
