Are you going through a process of change? A new job, moving house, setting up a family.

Or maybe change is being forced upon you - divorce, redundancy, bereavement.

This online course will guide you through that process. You will be supported by your tutor, Joanna Howard, and it all takes place over the world-wide web.

Any human life involves periods of intense change - learning to walk or talk, going from primary to secondary school, the changes of adolescence, starting work, are a few that come to mind immediately. Some change is sought, some ‘evolves’, and some is imposed on you. It’s been found that in many cases the personal process is similar.

In today’s world, many people find that the pace of change is speeding up, and they hardly have enough time to get used to one change before another one presents itself.

The topics in this course are designed to help you manage the process as well as is possible, building on your own experience, and also using ideas that other people have developed.

This course "Coping with Change" is designed:
• to help you understand (or remind you) of the normal processes of change;
• to give you a framework for managing a change that you’re going through.

When you’ve completed the course, you’ll be in a better position to make the most of transitions and you’ll have ways of reducing the stress of these changes, and really embracing the opportunity offered.
