This is an introductory psychology course that will immerse you in the world of psychology.
Each of us brings a different idea of what psychology is to this course and each of us has a special interest in psychology. For most people psychology is about questions such as: “Why do people act the way they do?” "How can I know myself and others better?" "Why do people commit crimes? Or go to war?"
As you go through this course you will find that psychology is about these questions, and a whole lot more. What about: "What is the structure of the brain?" "How does ageing effect intelligence and memory?" "How much do babies really understand about the world around them?"
You will be fully supported by your tutor throughout the course and you have an opportunity to apply some of the principles of psychology for personal growth and understanding others.

Individuals who are considering pursuing a more formal education in psychology, will find a sampling of the major topics in psychology, and be better able to make an informed choice about a possible future career in psychology.

How long is this course?
About 35 hours,
and we suggest you set aside about 4 hours a week - but it's up to you.
